Why a tree
אַרְבַּע עֲנָפִים
Four branches, one root system
Arba Anafim means “four branches”. Schools rarely need support in just one area, and each strand of the practice draws strength from the same root system rather than operating as a separate product.
Leadership & Culture is the visible life of a school. Curriculum & Evaluation is what lies beneath it, giving depth and direction to everything that grows. Tutoring & Personal Learning is the individual child. Strategy & Organisational Development is the structure that holds the whole thing upright. They are named Canopy, Root, Seedlings and Trunk.
Wellbeing is deliberately not a fifth branch. It runs through all four, shaping the conditions in which people can thrive. People do their best learning, and their best work, when they feel cared for and safe.
Four branches, one purpose, stronger schools
If any of this sounds like the help your school, organisation or child needs, I will be glad to hear from you.
