Tutoring & Personal Learning
Cultivating and anchoring
Every child arrives with different experiences, and many are quietly worried about something. Address that first, and the learning follows far more easily than anyone expects.
What I can offer

- B’nei Mitzvah preparation: leining, tefillah and the meaning behind the words.
- English and Maths across KS2 (Years 3 to 6) and KS3 (Years 7 to 9).
- Preparation for the move from primary to secondary school.
- GCSE Religious Studies, including the technique of answering the question set.
- One-to-one sessions paced to your child rather than to a class of thirty.
- Small groups of friends learning together, at a more accessible cost.

What parents say
“Justin is a great personal tutor and has had significant success with barmitzvah boys, especially those who need extra care and attention to give them both the skills and the personal confidence required.”
“Mr Kett was one of those teachers our daughters never forgot. He made learning engaging and meaningful, knew them as individuals and gave them confidence to think for themselves. Years later, we can still see the foundations he helped to build.”
“He has a genuine ability to understand children as individuals, nurture their confidence and help them develop a real sense of belonging within their school community.”
“We were privileged to have Mr Justin Kett teach both of our children during their period at primary school. He was a kind and dedicated teacher. Justin combines a warmth and understanding of education and school culture that helped our children to thrive.”
“We’ve been lucky enough to have Justin involved in our children’s Jewish education from early on in primary school all the way up to the latter years of secondary school. Through his passion for Jewish learning and education, he has helped shape their connection to Judaism.”

Why Arba Anafim is different
Tutoring is often sold as extra hours of the same thing that is not working. I start from the child rather than the syllabus, because a pupil who believes they are bad at something will not learn it however good the explanation. Confidence and knowledge are rebuilt together.
Roots give children something to grow from. This is where we ask who they are growing into.
Whether you are a parent or a school, the first step is the same: a short conversation about the child.
